E*TRAC is a case management system designed from the ground up to meet the needs of the community corrections and alternative sentencing market - day reporting, residential supervision, pretrial supervision, work release, community service, probation and other forms of community corrections. Its modular design, ease of operation and use, familiar Windows Explorer like user interface, and a high degree of customizability make it a flexible and cost effective solution for a variety of correctional organizations. Its user interface closely adheres to the Windows user interface design specifications: its Data Explorer, toolbars, menus, screen layout etc. are instantly familiar to anyone already acquainted with the "look and feel" of Microsoft Windows. The system uses a modern relational database engine – Microsoft SQL Server – as its data repository. MS SQL Server is a new-generation highly efficient and fast database engine, which in addition to high performance is also highly scaleable and can be used on a single desktop computer as well as on powerful enterprise-class servers. This database platform is not only economical but also easy to administer and “future proof” as Microsoft is 100% committed to SQL Server as its primary database engine. The E*TRAC system is offered in two basic configurations: Universal Edition delivering mission-critical Case Management System for 10 to 500 simultaneous users, and Personal Edition providing a cost effective solution for a small number (5-9) of simultaneous users. From the end user's perspective the system is easy to use, consistent, fast and secure. Because all criminal justice applications deal with enormous quantities of data, the data entry process is very streamlined, consistent and easy to perform. Lookup lists of user-defined entries (codes) are used wherever possible and users can easily enter commonly used default values ( dates, city names, telephone area codes, etc.) by double-clicking on the appropriate field or by using function keys. For even more consistency in the data-entry process, a spell-checker is provided. Data elements are seamlessly shared among all modules and need to be entered in the system only once, without the need to reenter the same data in different functional subsystems regardless of the size and scope of the initial installation. Only the residential module (Watchtower) requires the base system to operate. All other subsystems are totally self-contained and can be licensed separately, but - of course - their functionality will be greatly enhanced when used in conjunction with the base system.

Designed as a stand-alone day reporting system, the Base Module can also be used to augment the functionality of other components. It displays all data about your clients in a single, fully user-customizable and easy to use workspace! | Dubbed "The Watchtower" - it provides real-time information about clients in a residential setting, such as a halfway house. It is a residential-only module designed to work with the base system. | Performs automatic scoring for pretrial evaluation. The "heart" of this module are a configurable pretrial questionnaire and a pretrial summary sheet. | Provides the functionality required by "useful public service" programs. In addition to compliance tracking it generates the necessary paperwork - update, completion, placement forms, referral sheets, agreements, skill matching reports and much more! | ![]() |
System Manager provides all customization, configuration and management options required by all other components of E*TRAC |
