Transfer/conversion of existing data
E*TRAC is a case management software system designed for the criminal justice market, alternative sentencing, day reporting and treatment facilities. It consists of many self-contained functional subsystems (modules) each seamlessly sharing data with other subsystems. All subsystems are highly customizable and all support user-defined reporting. This client-server software system is based on a highly scalable, high performance database engine - MS SQL Server. The entire systems provides snappy performance and practically unlimited capacity - it can easily store and manage many millions of rows of data. E*TRAC is easy to customize thanks to it's open "data driven" architecture.
E*TRAC Case Management System can be used by many correctional organizations, such as day reporting facilities; drug and family treatment programs; intensive supervision programs; specialized courts, for instance drug courts or traffic courts; half way houses and other residential facilities. It can be economically implemented by organizations of various sizes - from a small community corrections center to large - serving an entire county - criminal justice services organizations.
Please contact us. This product is licensed, not sold. Pricing is dependent on the number of client licenses, number of modules licensed, customization requirements and support and maintenance contracts. Before submitting a quote, we will need a written request for a quote from your organization submitted via regular mail on your organization's letterhead. You will also receive a pre-quote questionnaire. Please fill it out completely and accurately because our quote will be based on your answers. Licenses for Universal Edition are available for 10, 20, 30 and 50 concurrent users. Site licensing (no limit on the number of concurrent users) is also possible. Personal Edition is optimized and licensed for up to 5 simultaneous users (you can purchase up to 4 more licenses for the total of 9, but please note that each additional user beyond the initial 5 may slightly degrade the performance of the entire system.) Please note that there is no provision to increase the number of users beyond 9 without upgrading Personal Edition to Universal Edition! Each license comes with a support agreement and maintenance contract which, in addition to the obvious (bug fixes and ongoing support) entitles the client to free system updates within the same major version, and a sizable discount on major upgrades to the software.
System requirements for E*TRAC Universal Edition
The client software can be used on any modern MS Windows computer with a Pentium-class processor. The database operates on Windows NT or Windows 2000 Server. The exact hardware and operating system requirements depend on the number of concurrent users, network load and the required database response time.
System requirements for E*TRAC Personal Edition
All components - the client application and the database engine - can run on any modern MS Windows computer with a Pentium-class processor, average hard disk drive and a reasonable amount of RAM.
Transfer/conversion of existing data
In many cases we will be able to convert all or part of data from your existing system, especially if the data resides in a popular database system (various SQL databases, dBase, Microsoft Access, Excel, etc.) and its structure is well documented. If your data resides in a proprietary system, we'll need a detailed documentation of the existing database and its data access methods and - most likely - some cooperation from the vendor of your existing system. In any event, please be as specific as possible with your data conversion needs while filling out the pre-quote questionnaire.
Technical support and maintenance contracts are negotiated on individual basis. We offer a variety of maintenance and support options. If you are a registered customer and need to contact technical support, please notify the support contact person in your organization. If you are a registered user, you can also send email to technical support by clicking here. Please remember to describe your problem in detail and include the name of your organization and your support agreement number and code.
